The day off??

I had a conversation with a friend this morning that begun with me commenting that he must not have Presidents day off since he was online. He replied back to me that I must have EVERYDAY off. Now I understand he doesn't have young kids so perhaps he didn't quite understand what I meant when I said taking care of a two year old you get NO days off. He reasoned that since I love it, it can't be considered work. To which I retorted; I don't know? Do I love to scrub explosive diarrhea out of clothes and blankets with my bare hands? Do I enjoy reminding my son to use the potty every five minutes till my throat goes hoarse and the sound of my own voice annoys me? Do I love washing every single item he uses so much that I get deep painful cracks in the skin on my fingers? He still insisted that because it pertains to someone I love, it still can not be seen as real work. Now I do love my son and I think that being a parent really is one of the most rewarding and truly amazing experiences in my life but I think I was able to provide a analogy that provided some insight for my most disagreeable friend.

The typical man he sounds like. They always think they know whats work and whats not. Can't wait for his future wife to show him what's it all about.

As for you...where is your helper? I thought you've found one. No need to scrub and mop and clean.
