Mommy and E

Things I've learned (a ongoing list):

  1. Pregnancy was the easy part of having a child.
  2. Gas is the Enemy.

  3. Newborns are smarter than you think. Routine is the first lesson that allows for sleeping through the night.
  4. Research, research, research! Read anything and everything.
  5. If your child's growth is compared to a ball rolling down a hill... genetics is the downward slope of the hill and enviromental stimuli are the turns and bumps in the road.

  6. Greater lung capacity makes for greater noise.

  7. The tiny nail clippers are too scary to use... blunt tipped nail scissors are easier. File them afterwards with a vietnamese accent.

  8. A morning baby is the happiest baby.

  9. Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ---Elizabeth Stone
